How Does it work?

The Beach House is not a timeshare.  Individuals own their specific unit and can use it up to 90 days a year. 

The on site management company uses them as rental hotel rooms for the rest of the year providing the owner with rental income to offset costs. The rents are split 50/50 between the owner and the hotel/management.

Who doesn’t want to own beachfront property?  Not many people would say that they don’t.  The problem of course is the cost.  Beachfront homes in Hermosa Beach range from major fixer/ lot value of mid $6.0M to over $20,000,000 which is rarified air indeed.

Is there a way to enjoy oceanfront living for less?

Yes!!  The answer may lie in the “condo-hotel” known as The Beach House just off pier plaza at 1300 The Strand.

There are 96 total “rooms” or units in 2 buildings and on 3 levels.  All are individually owned and can be used by the owner for up to 90 days a year.  All of the units are not beachfront, but the bulk are on the beach and almost every unit has some type of beach/ocean view.  Needless to say the better the location and view the more it’s worth, the more it costs, and the more it rents for. .

The units are 439 feet and are located in one of two buildings. The original building is primarily oceanfront units with panoramic views of the beach, ocean, Palos Verdes and the pier. The other building is located just off of the Strand but enjoys an excellent location. The units are all fully furnished and offer an efficiency kitchen, 2 TVs, CD player/receiver, fireplace, living room with a pull out queen sofa sleeper, king bed, desk area, bath with soaking tub and separate shower. The biggest challenge is that these homes rarely, if ever, come on the market.  If you would like to be notified when a new condo in the Beach House comes available let us know and we’ll send you updates as soon as one hits the market.  In addition, due to the unusual nature of the condo/hotel concept it is very difficult to get financing so most of the units are all cash purchases.
