While it’s not in Manhattan Beach, beachfront home sales on the Hermosa Beach Strand are always relevant.
The latest beachfront home to sell and the top home sale of August in Hermosa Beach was a three level beachfont home located on the northern end of the Hermosa Beach sand section.
3410 The Strand was just a block from Manhattan Beach and the Manhattan Beach Strand.
The home had been on the market for quite a while at 273 days on market which is not unusual for beachfront homes. There were several price reductions along the way as it was first listed at $9,350,000 the most recent “asking” price was $8,950,000. The home closed at the beginning of August for $7,800,000.
The home was last sold in 2016 for $6,450,000 so while the sellers didn’t get the return they were looking for they certainly did alright.
The home itself was built in 2006 and had some features that still felt newer and some areas that felt slightly dated. The ocean and beach views are stunning. The north end of Hermosa is always highly sought after but we think that the price is on the higher end for a lot that’s only 1,658 square feet. The beachfront lots get much narrower here where the street and bike path start to converge.
That said the home maximizes the possible square footage and the offers 2,298 square feet on three levels all offering big views.
