See the Manhattan Beach homes that sold in October

October was another banner month for home sales in the luxury coastal community of Manhattan Beach.  There were 51 closed sales which was only topped in the past few years but the 61 sales in September 2020.  The median “asking” price of the homes that sold was $2,899,000 with the median “sold” price of $2,880,000 indicating the continuation of a market very favorable to sellers. The average price per foot was $1206 and the average days on market before selling was 49.

That Was Quick – Big Sale at 516 The Strand Bucks the Trend

We’re working on getting some information on this sale but a beachfront Strand sale selling in 6 days is definitely big news. This was an ideally located duplex that was in very clean, but fairly original condition so it seems likely that this is a land sale. We’ll update the post as we get more information. It only took 6 days on the market and about a month total for 516 The Strand to sell for the list price of $14,500,000

Although two beachfront Strand homes have sold lately, there’s now more homes on the market than ever on the market.  In years past there was hardly a home to be found on the beach and now the market is saturated.  One reason is certainly the price.  While in years past (actually quite a while back now) the homes on the Strand were expensive….but still within range for some.  These days  they usually start in 8 figures and go up quickly.
