The latest beachfont home to sell and the highest priced home sale in October was an interesting situation located at 1508 The Strand. 

The home was listed by Stephanie Thomas of West Shores Realty & Jennifer Caskey of Compass

The home had clearly started a remodel and then apparantly stopped in the middle.  The floors were all stripped down to the plywood subfloors and spaces had started to be rehabbed but clearly they had just started. 

The location was great being just a few blocks from downtown, having an incredible view of the iconic Manhattan Beach pier and being beach front of course.

The current home offered 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths on 3 levels with almost 5,600 square feet so it’s unlikely this will be torn down but more likely updated and upgraded.   The views are dazzling and the home offered some nice outdoor spaces as well.

The home was listed for $13,749,000 and quickly went into escrow after only 2 weeks and sold for $12,337,500.  It would appear that the sellers were quite motivated.
