At the time, the spacious home had clearly started a remodel and then apparantly stopped in the middle.  The floors were all stripped down to the plywood subfloors and spaces had started to be rehabbed but clearly they had just started.  The latest iteration finished the job and it now feels like a home again instead of a project.  That said it appears that the majority of the work was fairly cosmetic (new floors, new paint, new appliances, but the home was in decent condition at the time.
